Fit & Focus

Is VCRDC the right fit for your startup?

Founders usually start here before deciding whether to submit.

What kinds of startups does VCRDC invest in?
We are most interested in founders building in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Machine Learning, deep technology, and scalable software or infrastructure businesses with strong technical depth.
What funding stages does VCRDC support?
Our typical stage range runs from Pre-Seed to Series B. We care less about labels alone and more about product maturity, market clarity, and why the round makes sense now.
Do I need traction before I apply?
Not every company needs revenue, but strong submissions usually show some evidence of momentum. That can include pilots, usage, product progress, customer insight, or meaningful technical execution.
Does VCRDC only invest in companies based in India?
No. We care more about the quality of the company, the market opportunity, and the founder ambition than a single geography. Global market potential matters to us.

Submission

What should founders prepare before submitting?

These are the most common questions about materials and founder readiness.

What should be included in the pitch deck?
A strong deck usually covers the problem, product, market, business model, competition, traction, founder team, and what this round is meant to unlock. Clear thinking matters more than visual complexity.
Can I apply without a website?
Yes. A website is helpful if the company or product is already live, but it is not required. We can still review early-stage startups that are not yet public.
Do I need a warm introduction to submit?
No. Founders can submit directly through the startup submission form. If the company fits our focus, the investment team will review it through the same process.
How detailed should the startup summary be?
Keep it concise but specific. We want to understand what you are building, who it is for, why it matters now, what progress you have made, and what capital you are raising.

Review Process

What happens after a startup is submitted?

This is where founders usually want clarity on timelines and next steps.

How long does the first review usually take?
Serious submissions are typically reviewed within 1 to 2 weeks. Timing can vary based on volume, but we aim to keep the process clear and direct.
Will I hear back if there is no fit?
Our goal is to provide a clear next step after internal review. In some cases that means moving forward, revisiting later, or passing if the current fit is not strong enough.
What does VCRDC evaluate first?
We usually start with founder quality, product depth, market opportunity, technical differentiation, and whether the current round matches the stage of the company.
What happens if there is alignment?
If there is early fit, the next step is typically a direct founder conversation followed by deeper diligence around the product, market, company structure, and round context.
Still Need Clarity?

Review the fit, then send the startup when the story is clear.

If you are still refining the round, stage, or materials, our funding stages page and pitch guide will usually answer the next layer of questions before you submit.
